Community Building Reflection from Board Member Anna Rapp

At WithinReach, we believe in the power of community to create meaningful change. As a board member and a lifelong advocate for families, I couldn’t be more thrilled about our partnership with Seattle Fitness Week and the incredible opportunity it provides to elevate the impact we can make for families in need across Washington state.

Seattle Fitness Week, happening March 6–15, 2025, is much more than a celebration of fitness—it’s a celebration of community. Organized by Seattle Strength & Performance, the event unites people from all walks of life to support not just their physical well-being but also the well-being of others. This year, all proceeds from Seattle Fitness Week will be shared among three outstanding charities: Girls on the Run, Lambert House, and WithinReach.

What excites me most about this partnership is how it brings together two things that are deeply connected: community and care. At WithinReach, we know that raising strong, healthy families requires more than access to resources—it requires a network of support. Seattle Fitness Week amplifies this mission by showing how a community that comes together for a shared purpose can make a tangible difference.

Elevating the Impact for Families in Need
Through this partnership, every spin class, yoga session, and fitness event during Seattle Fitness Week will directly contribute to the services that WithinReach provides. This means more families will be connected to essential programs like WIC, SNAP, health insurance, and child development resources. These services are vital to ensuring that families not only survive but thrive.

But the impact doesn’t stop there. Events like Seattle Fitness Week create opportunities for people to connect on a deeper level. They spark conversations about health and well-being, foster connections among neighbors, and inspire collective action. As someone who’s passionate about building strong communities, I’m so excited to see how this event will create ripple effects far beyond gym walls.

A Shared Commitment to Community-Building
Seattle Strength & Performance shares WithinReach’s commitment to building a healthier, stronger Washington. Their decision to feature us alongside other impactful organizations, like Girls on the Run and Lambert House, reflects their belief in the power of partnerships to create lasting change. We’re honored to be part of this incredible initiative and grateful for the chance to share our mission with even more people.

Join Us!
I invite everyone to join us for Seattle Fitness Week. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or just looking for a way to give back, your participation matters. Together, we can lift up families in need, strengthen our community, and make a real difference.

Let’s build a stronger Washington—one workout, one family, and one connection at a time.

With gratitude,
Anna Rapp
