WithinReach is a leader in convening stakeholders, policymakers, state and community champions, advocates, and lived experience experts to support families in Washington and address system inequities. WithinReach works at the systems level by building partnerships, coalitions, and collaboratives to improve the whole system. We know that we achieve better, longer-lasting impact when we work together toward a common goal – breaking down barriers so that all families can thrive.
The Basic Food Education Forum (BFEF) is a platform for all agencies enrolling clients in the Basic Food (food stamps) program to meet and network with others about common issues and strategies to promote Basic Food enrollment. Through quarterly virtual forums, WithinReach convenes government agencies, community-based organizations, and others who support clients with Basic Food to learn more and collaborate to increase enrollment.
The Washington Coalition on Medicaid Outreach (WCOMO) brings together community-based organizations and state agencies to share information about Medicaid, outreach strategies, and healthcare reform so that more people in our state are able to access healthcare. WithinReach leads WCOMO and is responsible for convening virtual quarterly meetings, which provide training, topical presentations, and expert speakers.
The Washington Prenatal-to-Three (PN3) Coalition brings leaders and state system partners together to develop and align statewide strategies and policies that center families with young children in Washington state. Focus areas include food security, access to pediatric and prenatal care, family stability, and developmental screening. WithinReach is the lead convener of the PN3 Coalition. Through support from Pritzker Children’s Initiative, we seek to increase the number of infants, toddlers, and their families receiving high quality services by 50% by 2025.
Founded in 1994, the Immunization Action Coalition of Washington (IACW) works to improve the health of the community by minimizing the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases through the optimal use of immunizations across the lifespan. IACW is a statewide coalition with a variety of stakeholders that focus on coalition building, statewide awareness building of tools and best practices, community outreach and engagement, and public policy and advocacy.
Vax Northwest was formed in 2008, recognizing the need for scientifically evaluated interventions promoting vaccine confidence. It is a unique public-private partnership focused on vaccine hesitancy and increasing timely immunizations. WithinReach staffs and supports the partnership, ensuring that it is guided by a clear mission and body of work. The partnership’s goal is to collaborate with others working on immunization-related research, program design and implementation, evaluation of interventions, and communication.
This year, WithinReach helped more than 350,000 families gain access to health, child development and nutrition resources. We work with community partners and policymakers to improve community health and social service systems for all Washington families.
