The Division of Developmental Medicine, Seattle Children’s is sponsoring a virtual seminar,Advocacy for Children with Special Needs: Honoring the Life Work of David and Cynthia Shurtleff,” to be held on June 17 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During this seminar, representatives from the Washington Chapter of the AAP, WithinReach, and Seattle Children’s will review the lasting impact of their life’s work.

For over 60 years, David and Cynthia promoted, and often led, numerous efforts in support of Children and Youth Adults with Special Health Care Needs (CYASHCN) through their legislative advocacy, clinical care and research work.

We look forward to participating in this celebration of David and Cynthia, and to honor their passion on behalf of the children, young adults and families throughout our state. Learn more about this event on the Seattle Children’s Continuing Medical Education site.
